“…NOTHING HAVE THE HABITS OF THE PALATE MORE DECISIVE INFLUENCE THAN IN OUR RELISH OF WINES.”
Thomas Jefferson, October 1818

What began as a failed viticulture experiment in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1773 has become one of the leading agricultural industries in Virginia. Virginia Wine now rivals and often surpasses any wine in the United States.

So it makes sense why more and more tourists are coming to Virginia to travel wine trails and enjoy wine festivals.

It also makes sense why On Sunny Slope Farm, located an hour away from Charlottesville and situated in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley would want to host a wine festival.

Our historic farm, known mostly for our contribution to the poultry industry has incredible views of the Shenandoah Valley. We are very conveniently located in Rockingham County on both the Harrisonburg City Limits line and the Dayton Corporate Limits line which means locals can quickly enjoy a high quality wine festival in “The Triad of the Valley” without the inconvenience of a long drive.

As a licensed special events venue we have all the comforts and facilities attendees of a festival will need in any weather condition without obstructing the beauty, openness and century certified history of the farm. And we have lots of intimate spots for people to enjoy their family and friends.

On Sunny Slope Farm is quickly becoming the place where Harrisonburg, Dayton and Rockingham County meet to celebrate our families and friends.

Tickets go on sale April 15, 2017. Presale tickets are $20 for 21 & over (Tasting) – $25.00 (at entrance), Ages 12 & under – free, 13 – 20 years – $5.00 and 21 & over (No Tastings) – $10.00. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/wine-festival-tickets-30049567064
