Smiley’s Ice Cream | 2017 Wine Festival Culinary Pairing

Smiley’s Ice Cream began in 2001 to bring the freshest ice cream you can eat, made at your location, to your next event.   We started out at our local Farmer’s Market, but due to requests from customers and businesses to bring ice cream to their events, we became too busy to continue the market on a regular basis.  We currently travel throughout Virginia and surrounding areas to bring our freshly made ice cream to weddings, businesses, street festivals, and private events.  In late spring/early summer of 2017 we will be opening our first ice cream shop on the grounds of Mt. Crawford Creamery.

Dayton Tavern | 2017 Wine Festival Culinary Pairing

Dayton Tavern loves to serve food to people who understand the importance of “Breaking Bread”. Where you eat together as a celebration of the gift of life and importance of positive relationships with people from all walks of life. I want to be able to serve food that makes people smile. Food that brings back a memory of a dish served by grandma or something you had on vacation…the BEST thing you ever ate! Most people who have an appreciation for food have that connection with stimulating all of the senses. I’m not talking about just the taste and texture of the meal, but if there is music or art or is it paired with a great wine or just a nice glass of lemonade…the experience is exponential! That is why we are excited about being part of the wine festival.

Dayton Tavern will be serving charcuterie boards that feature local and Italian cheeses.

Big Island Aquaculture | 2017 Wine Festival Culinary Pairing

We offer the the best tasting oysters in the Chesapeake Bay

Our Big Island Oysters are grown on a beautiful, pristine body of water nestled between the York River, the Mobjack Bay and Myrtle Point Narrows.

Big Island is where a community of watermen lived and worked the waters of the Chesapeake Bay.

Professional oyster tasters refer to these oysters as the “quintessential oyster”; the perfect blend of salty, sweet and buttery.  Perfect for any occasion.
