As Sales Manager for Weddings and Social Events for the Hotel Madison & Shenandoah Valley Conference Center I was part of the first hardhat tour and what a tour it was! The Hotel Madison & Shenandoah Valley Conference Center is a very impressive facility.

First, the location could not be more prime. Located at 710 South Main Street in Harrisonburg, Virginia, it is the only full-service hotel that is in walking distance to the Downtown Culinary District of Harrisonburg. Placed at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Way and South Main, it is two steps (almost) to walk to the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts. When I lived in Lancaster, PA one of the most enjoyable things we did was purchase season tickets to the Fulton Theatre, park at a local hotel, dine in the restaurant with some fine wines and then walk to the theatre. I am excited that this will now be a possibility in Harrisonburg, Virginia as well.

Which leads me to impressive detail #2 and #3: The 1,000-car parking deck and the farm-to-table restaurant.

The parking deck is adjacent to the hotel with an entrance on Martin Luther King Jr. Way and will have a connecting breezeway between the parking garage and the hotel. With 300 parking spaces dedicated to the hotel year-round and 1000 parking spaces available on weekends and during the summer, there is plenty of space for all the guests of weddings, social events, conferences, etc. which is a huge convenience!

The full-service restaurant will feature locally sourced foods prepared in a state-of-the-art restaurant that will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel’s high-quality Valley-inspired foods will make any stay convenient and tasty! There is also a second state-of-the-art catering kitchen in the conference center that will be able to serve all the weddings and social events hosted in one of the Shenandoah Valley Conference Center’s three ballrooms and eight break-out rooms. Most impressive in the array of culinary equipment is a state-of-art-catering cooking and warming system that will make it possible for the Shenandoah Valley Conference Center catering kitchen staff to plate and serve 1000 people hot food at the same time!

The bar! There is a full-service bar located in the hotel foyer which allows for groups of up to 700 to enjoy one another over a specialty adult beverage or the large selection of local Virginia wines and craft beers. I imagine that this will be a hot spot after weddings and other social events that will linger into the night.

Lastly, 229 guest rooms and 1 Presidential Suite are the icing on the cake. After all the fun, you are going to need a comfortable bed nearby. Five floors of rooms, many of them with a panoramic view of the Shenandoah Valley, are just an elevator ride away to finish out the night in style so you can get the rest you need to enjoy your next day in the Shenandoah Valley.

Clearly, I am very excited about the Hotel Madison & Shenandoah Valley Conference Center.

The Hotel Madison is currently slated to open its myriad of services March 2018 and is available to host weddings and other social events beginning mid-May 2018.
