April 21, 2018 – Open Doors Food Truck Fest On Sunny Slope Farm
Harrisonburg, VA – Rockingham Country – Open Doors, Harrisonburg and Rockingham’s Thermal Homeless Shelter is hosting their annual fundraiser, Food Truck Fest, at On Sunny Slope Farm on April 21, 2018 from 12pm – 6pm. Tickets are available for $10 on our website and just provide admission into the event. You can also purchase them on the day of the event for $15. Kid’s 12 and under get in for free. All ticket sales go directly to supporting Open Doors and the work that they do in our community.
There will be live music, including performances by Mike Davis from 12pm-2pm; Who Shot John from 2pm – 4pm and The Hackens Boys from 4pm – 6pm. A list of the confirmed Food Trucks and vendors is being updated daily and can be found on the website.
Open Doors is a 501(c) non-profit that provides shelter and support to those experiencing homelessness from November – April every year. With the help of many local faith communities, Open Doors is able to provide shelter, warm meals, and many other resources to anyone over the age of 18 who has nowhere else to go.

Where is Food Truck Fest being held this year?
Food Truck Fest will be held at On Sunny Slope Farm again this year. The Erickson Avenue entrance is the only way to enter the festival! You can use 1000 Erickson Avenue, Harrisonburg Va 22801 to get directions!
What if it rains?
Food Truck Fest will be held rain or shine!
What is included in the ticket price?
The ticket just allows you entrance to the festival. There will be local bands playing all day, local food trucks for you to purchase food from, local wine and cider, plus select brands of beer, and local vendors for you to browse!
If you purchase your tickets before the day of the festival the price is $10.
If you purchase your ticket the day of the event it will be $15.
Kids 12 and under a free at either time.
What does the ticket price go towards?
The ticket price is a direct donation to Open Doors. Food Truck Festival is our annual fundraising event, it helps us raise money to run the thermal shelter each year.
What should I bring with me?
There will be some tables and chairs to sit at, but there is also a ton of space to sit on the grass! Bring blankets, towels, foldable chairs…and sunscreen!
If you plan on purchasing alcohol you must bring a photo id with you.
What should I leave at home?
Pets, outside food or drink, and bicycles / skateboards / rollerblades will not be allowed into the festival.
Where will I park my car?
Parking will be in the grass. Depending on what time you arrive you may also be asked to park on a hill. Also be aware that to get to On Sunny Slope Farm, you will have to drive on a gravel road and over cattle guards!
We plan on offering a parking shuttle service again this year.
