You as a couple (what makes you as a couple unique in your coupledom?): We love to try new restaurants, travel together, and swoon over adorable puppies!

Your love story (how did you meet, fall in love and decide to get married?):  We are the story of missed opportunity. When we met in high school the time was just never right… After “sharing” answers in Statistics, (Kyle says Lauren was stealing his answers) Kyle and Lauren began working together at Woodstone Recreation and spending endless hours watching talk shows and folding towels at the desk. In 2013, Kyle was in a car accident and oddly enough the timing was finally right. Lauren spent endless hours with Kyle afterward and they talked and grew closer and closer as the days and weeks went on. They FINALLY had their first date to see Paranormal Activity and, of course, Kyle’s Boyfriend (the best man) Clay Matthews was in attendance for mental support. To this day, the movie is Kyle and Lauren’s date spot. Kyle finally got the courage to take the plunge and ask Lauren to be his girlfriend at a snowed in party on St. Patrick’s Day in 2014. It may have been all the green beer. The day after getting to the beach, Kyle was going to make his move and asked Lauren to come watch the sunrise with him. Lauren said no… So it had to wait. Take two, Kyle forced Lauren to get up and go on a walk at sunrise on the beach with him and popped the question in the sand by the ocean as the sun came up.

Inspiration (Share what inspired your dream wedding): We love the cold weather and deep, warm colors. We LOVE food, so our focus fell on catering. We chose breakfast for dinner because we cook breakfast together every weekend. We both have a strong love for ice cream and cake, so of course, we needed Smiley’s Ice Cream and the best buttercream cake! We just want people to have fun and love their time with us.

What’s next for you as a couple after your wedding (new home? Children? Just enjoying each other?) We will be just enjoying one another’s company and taking a mini-moon to Ocean City – our favorite place! We hope to purchase a home shortly after and in a couple years expand our family!
