Brix & Columns

Brix & Columns will be joining us this year at the August 5, 2018 Wine and Oyster Festival On Sunny Slope Farm in support of the Artisan Center of Virginia. Come on out to taste their wine as well as wine from 10 other Shenandoah Valley Virginia Wineries.

Brix and Columns Vineyards is a family run vineyard and winery. We offer tastings and wine for sale by the glass or bottle. We have 360 degree views of both the Massanutten and Blue Ridge mountains with ample indoor and outdoor space for guest to enjoy their wine and surrounding views. We are open seven days a week. Steve and Stephanie both grew up in the farming world.  Steve helped his grandparents on their family farm, and Stephanie was an avid horse rider who welcomed the responsibility that came with raising and riding horses.  Acknowledging how important their farming backgrounds were in both providing fond childhood memories and in instilling a strong work ethic, the Pences knew that they wanted to provide the same experience for their own children.  In 2003, they found the perfect property just miles from both of their childhood homes.  The panoramic mountain views were the icing on the cake of this 160 acre farm.

All of our vines have been planted in the past two years, giving our visitors unique insight into the vineyard start-up process.  We are currently growing six varietals: Cabernet Franc, Chambourcin, Chardonnay, Petit Verdot, Vidal Blanc, and Viognier.  The Shenandoah Valley AVA, established in 1982, is becoming one of the well-known American Vitacultural Areas of Virginia due to its favorable growing conditions and ability to produce a large number of varietals.
